If you work for one of the Big 4, especially PwC, you will be using this service regularly.  If you're planning to interview with the Big 4, I would strongly recommend getting comfortable with Comperio now.  If you follow the link below you can sign up for a 30-day free trial of Comperio.  This will be enough time for you to get acclimated with Comperio and check out some of the most important resources.  Below is my 4-step plan to utilizing Comperio to help you land a job with the Big 4.

Step One:   Register for a free 30-day trial of Comperio (http://submit.pwc.com/extweb/abas/comperio/comperioorders.nsf)

Step Two:  Spend some time briefly exploring each of the information resources that Comperio has to offer (see the list above)

Step Three:  The two most important resources on Comperio are the actual FASB ASC and the PwC Accounting and Reporting Manual (ARM).  The ARM is PwC's interpretation of the authoritative guidance organized by topic.  Pick a topic that interests you and read every word of that topic (e.g. 2100 Fair Value Measurements).

Step Four:  If you have a section in your resume that lists the software you are familiar with, add PwC Comperio to the list.
